PHNOM PENH, CAMBODIA (6 June 2019) - The Asian Development Bank (ADB) will need to evolve and expand its support to Cambodia's agriculture sector to help support the country's growth, mitigate the effects of climate change, and attract more private sector involvement to feed a growing urban population, according to a recent evaluation by ADB's Independent Evaluation Department. While Cambodia has experienced substantial growth in recent years, the agriculture sector, which continues to play a critical role in growth and poverty reduction in the country, has gotten lesser attention and priority compared to the tourism and garment industries.
